Governing Bodies
Gone are the days when the Clerk just sent agendas and took notes.
The Clerk with the Chair are pivital to any good governing body which wishes to be seen as the critical friend.
For all schools that we clerk, we provide a annual planner of meetings and work with the Local Authority to ensure that both
Governors and the school fulfuill their statutory duties. We also ensure that Governors were trained to become
effective governors.

Training Admission and Exclusion Panel Members
All admission and exclusion panel members must be trained at least every two years. Now that the Codes
are changed on an almost annual basis, panel members must have sufficient knowledge of the latest code to carry out their
duties. Over the last few years there has been a steady rise in the number of complaints to the Ombudsman.
A well trained panel will result in less successful complaints to the Ombusman. In the first few months of 2010,
we have run in excess of 20 admission and permanent exclusion courses for a number of Local Authorities.
